Why we escaped the tour at Gdańsk

With the same foundation I joined in from the free walking tour at Warsaw, I dragged my friend Jan to the same tour concept in Gdańsk, a city north of Poland. This particular tour started at 10:30 a.m. and is about three hours long. I already doubted she would stick around until the end but I'm glad she still gave it a go.

We got to Gdańsk from Gdynia via Uber, her treat, my first. Gdańsk is easily accessible by an intercity train but Jan being... well, Jan, we went for a comfy car ride and fifteen minutes later, we were in the heart of the city.

The tour started on time. We were quite a small group. It was a perfect day to go around. A perfect day to grab a cone of ice cream too! But maybe I was just not up for some sightseeing that day and Jan had already seen and learned about the surroundings a month before. Plus, we were both craving for some Mcdonald's (I know, right). Half way through the tour, during the fifteen minute break, we both decided to head for the train station back to Gdynia. She needed to attend to some work stuff, too. I, on the other hand, browsed through her Netflix account and prepared for my upcoming trip to Barcelona, Spain!
