Hello and welcome to my corner of the internet! My name is Leni (hence the handle Leni on the Road), and I’m fond of introducing myself as a language enthusiast who has been sharing my adventures and experiences through blogging since 2003. I have always found solace in sharing my raw thoughts since high school. However, I took blogging a little bit more seriously in 2012 when I first left my home country to study abroad. During this period, I recreated this online space to document my mini-adventures and misadventures as a way to remember my first solo trip abroad as a young adult.
I spent most of my life in the Philippines where I was born, educated and raised. My first experiences in the professional world were also based there. Fast forward to today, I have since moved to France and my blog has evolved to cover not just my first student exchange program, but my experiences in life beyond it. Whether I am out studying, working, travelling, or simply staying put, I aim to provide a glimpse into life on the road to somewhere, nowhere, and everywhere.
My blog is a reflection of my passions and interests, and I write about four major topics:
nostalgic memories of the past or random musings about small moments in life, and
some topics on lifestyle and self-development.
For those of you who are looking to get something productive out of your visit here, I have a well-thought-out page dedicated to language learning for fellow language enthusiasts and some travel guides for those who are planning to be on the move.
In addition to writing, I also enjoy creating multimedia content. Every once in a while, I gather clips and turn them into compelling stories that bring my blog to life.
Whether you're a fellow traveller, a language learner, or just looking for a place to escape to, I invite you to join me on this journey and discover the world through my eyes.
