Shortly after posting photos of my failed attempt to hike up to Èze over Facebook, one of my Erasmus friends asked if he could come along with me should I wish to come back to Èze. Long story, short, we ended up going the following Thursday together with three other girls from Germany and Finland. Good news, we went up there by car ! Less hassle and much much much easier (except maybe for the horrible traffic in Nice) !

We went to Eze Village, parked and walked around for three hours. When we thought we have seen everything we could, we went to nearby towns of Beaulieu-sur-mer to have lunch, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat for a little while since it was on the way to Mont Boron where one of my German friends had an appointment with his doctor. Since it is a long trip, I will just let the pictures speak for itself.

One of the must see sites in Eze Village is the Jardin Exotique up hill. Entrance is 6 Euros but since we are students, we get to enjoy the view from above as well as these exotic plants only for 2 Euros!

"I take a picture of you, you take a picture of me" - this is what I like about my fellow tourists. Give and take. Haha.

Mom and I wanted to have some sort of corner like this at home. It’s actually one of my plans in the future dream home I dream of giving to my parents one day after becoming sucessful (and extremely rich, how else can I afford it lol). Seeing this on the street rekindled this dream of mine.

I get really shy around friends to take photos and self-timed group photos because most of my European friends are not really up for it. Maybe taking photos is an Asian thing but I was so happy that this time, my friends are up for it, too !

After having seen what was up there, we started to go back down. We saw the end of the Chemin Nietzsche and one of my friends suggested we could go a few meters down just to have a look. I asked to have my photo taken and they gladly did so I could have an impression of having successfully reached the end all the way from downhill !

It was a good idea to take that detour. Otherwise we couldn’t have seen this striking view from the other side. I don’t think it’s visible from this photo but there’s a magnificent garden and waterfalls from this end.

There were debates going on in our way to Beaulieu s/ Mer. But after that awkward moment in the car (I still have to get used to the straightforwardness of Europeans), we finally settled on a chic restaurant in the city proper.

And I had this plat du jour which I forgot what it was called… Even if it was a bit expensive (at least for me, I should really stop comparing prices here and back home), it was worth a try.

We had time to kill so we wandered around searching for this villa. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get in since the entrance fee is super expensive. We could just get as close at this. Good enough, I guess.

Before going to Mont Boron for our friend’s appointment, we went on a quick trip to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat to see the Belgian Cemetery.

But again, we had another detour. I’m glad we did because there was a lovely road overlooking the sea and experiencing the sea breeze. It was refreshing !

I used to just see this in my dreams when I was a little girl but finally, here it is, in real life ! I literally still can’t believe I’ve been here…

I shamelessly failed to pull off an Oblation pose.

And finally, we reached the Belgian cemetery a few meters away from the seashore.

That was pretty much it. In just one afternoon, I managed to go to four different places, meet four awesome people, learn about German and Finnish cultures and eat good food.
