Today's wins
Finally got that feeling out of my chest! That was the biggest win for today. It broke my heart to not have to insist on it especially because it was pretty obvious that it made D upset not to be able to join the upcoming trip. It was bad vs worse; bad was a better choice.
Making a list of remarkable ideas was a good idea so then, not only do I have something concrete (still not coherent, though) to write about, I get to remember them too. As we age, our brains are worse at keeping memories yet better at processing also thanks to past experiences and how we see the world as they happen in front of our eyes. Which brings me to the second win of the day: my current read right now is a gem! It’s a newly released book from Bill Bryson called “The Body: A guide for occupants”. C showed it to me the other day in the middle of one of our philosophical discussions. It’s hard to put down that book! I’m already in Chapter 5 just a day after downloading a copy.
Third win is more of a discovery – that I can finally synchronize my reads from an Android reader to the Mac and the iPad! So, bye iBooks, hello Google Play Book! It would've been the best win for the day until tonight when I was finally able to remove the elephant in the room.
If there are wins, there are disappointments too. But I choose to focus on the wins. Meditation taught me to observe feelings, let it become a part of the being and eventually let go. And I have. Most thankful for two of my favorite people as of present, R and C, with whom I can have face-to-face sensible discussions, judgement-free.
Today was liberating.
