Chasing lavender fields in France and apartment site visit
I've lived in France for many years (since 2012) yet the first and only time I get to collect enough clips to make a sensible video was in 2019. Sometimes, I regret not being able to document my life abroad enough in my blogs, in videos or in photos. I’d like to believe I was too busy making memories. However, in summer of 2019, I was able to make more of those memories and collect them, too, in writing, in pictures and some clips!
I was fortunate enough to be granted several scholarships and free trainings to further my education and career. Before I went to Nice at the end of June 2019 for a two-week teacher training, I stopped by the Parisian region with my partner to have a glimpse of the construction site of his (our) new apartment for only an entire day, which should be ready next year. Then, we spent a weekend at his parents' place. Afterwards, I was off to Nice by myself where I was met by course organizers, new network and old friends.
With my friend Lea coming in from London in the middle of my two-week training, we were able to visit several areas along the French (and Italian) Riviera. Our main mission, however, was to make our dream come true: chase lavender fields. We simply can't get enough of them!
I’m so glad this video captured most of the best moments in my two weeks in France in the summer of 2019.
