No winter wonderland

No winter wonderland for me.

How was my new year? I got severely sick, I spent a huge amount of time in bed, or waiting for a doctor for four hours in the emergency room, not enjoying delicious food that was available to me and finally, having to let go of that scholarship in Lithuania.

Yes, that opportunity I was talking about was for a one-month scholarship in Lithuania. I know what you're saying: another one, Leni? Unfortunately, this entry is not pertaining to an answer to that annoying question/reaction. It's simply admitting (to myself) the fact that this time, it's a no...

No, I wouldn’t be spending winter in Lithuania as I planned and as I thought and saw myself doing. No, I wouldn't be learning Lithuanian and discovering its culture, its people, its food, its places... No, the time is not now...Retraction emails are sent, visa appointment cancelled, and work duties scheduled.

Time goes on, life goes on so no point in fixating on those misfortunes so off we go to a new “start”. While everybody has moved on from the holidays, from the hype of the new year, I am just getting on with mine. Excuse me while I restart.
