Speaking Lithuanian in Estonia

What I do remember from this trip is meeting Martinas. Martinas is a solo Lithuanian traveler from our group. At one point, Martinas was standing right beside me and so I took the courage and talked to him in Lithuanian. He looked stunned and confused, later, amused, that an Asian like me was speaking to him in his native tongue. We found ourselves having our own little bubble as we moved along the tour.

Overall, will definitely go back here. I’m even debating it it’s the best island there is! Yes, even El Nido and Coron are in danger of only coming in second and third on my list. Boracay doesn’t even come close. Camiguin might just be my top Philippine destination!

Lavender fields and weekend chores

Yesterday, Lea and I drove all the way up to Valensole in search of the lavender fields. The day before that, we had a dip in the sea and the day before that, we went to Monaco and impulsively decided to go to Ventimiglia, Italy where we almost missed our train. Classic Italian story. Today, I managed to make it to the laundry shop (Ma Laverie Shop) in Borriglione, just down the street at 7 AM - opening time.

Climbing up the bell tower of Rouen's Le Gros Horloge

Someone once asked me: Leni, what's there to see in Rouen? That time, I only knew about the cathedral and that this was the place where Joan of Arc was burnt. So I answered: I heard there's this cathedral. His reply: Leni, what French city does not have a cathedral? Point taken. Ten months later, I'm still discovering what my host city has to offer to have better answers if this question ever come up again.
